One Barrow, One Mower, One Promise
Mark Steven started Verdance in 1998 with a secondhand mower and a simple rule: leave every garden better than you found it. Word travelled street by street, and the one-man round became a crew of fourteen — gardeners, a landscape architect, irrigation specialists and a nursery buyer.
What hasn't changed is the rule. We still walk every garden first, quote fixed prices, and send the same familiar faces to each visit. Most of our work now comes from clients who found us a decade ago.
